Zoar Kids
Bring the little ones …
Zoar Lutheran is made up of members of the body of Christ through baptism. When we baptize little children, we make a covenant with God to faithfully bring them to the services of God’s house, teach them the Lord’s Prayer, the Creed and the Ten Commandments, to place in their hands the Holy Scriptures, to provide for their instruction in the Christian faith, that living in the covenant of their baptism, they may live godly lives until the day of Jesus Christ.
Sunday School at Zoar Lutheran is designed to help fulfill these obligations. Preschool (age 3) through 4th grade Sunday School meets for opening each Sunday at 9:45 in the lower level. After liturgical opening, children will move to grade-level classrooms: Preschool, Kindergarten / 1st Grade, 2nd / 3rd Grade, and 4th Grade. Lessons are co-taught and include fun hands-on activities that bring faith formation and God’s word to life! Parents can sign out children in the lower level at 10:45 a.m. The Sunday School Year runs from mid-September to the end of the academic year.
During the year, children can register for Sunday School at any time by contacting the church office at 419-874-4346.
For children three years old through fifth grade, there is a fun, friendly and Bible-centered JAM Time to which children are dismissed during the 11 a.m. worship service. The lessons are related to the week’s lectionary and sermon. This children’s worship is staffed with friendly and well-qualified teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child.
