Pastor Tim graduated from Capital University and Trinity Seminary in Columbus, OH and recently completed his Doctorate from Gordon-Cromwell University in Boston. He has been serving Zoar since 1985.
He and his wife Kate have adult twin sons, Aaron (married to Liz) and Matthew, and a married daughter, Allison (Partheev Shah), as well as eight year old granddaughter, Addison. With children living on both the east and west coasts, and also in Denver, the Philabaums are often traveling and enjoying the sights and activities of each diverse area of the country.
In addition to his responsibilities at Zoar, Pastor Tim is also activity involved in the Perrysburg Ministerial Association, NW Ohio Synod Council, Trinity Seminary continuing Ed courses, and represents the national church on several ecumenical projects.
He will be leading a tour to Germany in July 2017, honoring the 500th anniversary of Martin Luther. Pastor Tim also plays the piano and organ, and enjoys baking many varieties of bread.
