Support our many ministries.
Zoar Lutheran offers a variety of opportunities to give in support of the ministries that touch and transform the lives of God’s people in our local community and around the world. Tithes, donations and offerings can be made during worship services or online.
Using the secure, online payment platform, you can set up a recurring payment or give a one-time donation. You do not have to be a member of Zoar Lutheran to make a donation. Contact the church office with any additional questions about how you can financially support Zoar Lutheran.
Give by Cash or Check
If you wish to present your gifts and offerings in person, we offer a “passing of the plate” during worship services. To learn more about when and where we meet see our worship section. If you would prefer to send your contributions by mail, you may do so by making your check out to “Zoar Lutheran Church” and mailing it to:

Gifting Through Estate Planning
In addition to filling an important role in providing for the future financial security of your family and others, your will or living trust can offer a way to make a thoughtful charitable gift to Zoar Lutheran as part of your long-range estate and financial plans. It can be satisfying to know that a portion of your property will be put to good use in the future.
A gift made through a will or living trust can be convenient to arrange. A simple provision or amendment prepared by your attorney at the time you make or update your will or trust is all that is necessary. To plan a charitable bequest, inform your attorney of your wishes and ask for advice regarding the best form for your gift.
All contributions are secure and tax-deductible. You will receive a year-end giving statement for your records. To request a giving statement, contact the church office.

Enjoy the convenience of online giving. Zoar Lutheran is happy to offer electronic giving, which allows you to make donations on a scheduled, automatic basis. If you are writing checks and preparing envelopes every week, you will especially appreciate electronic giving. It is convenient for you and provides much-needed donation consistency for our church.
Q. What are the major advantages of electronic giving?
A. Electronic giving is all about convenience for you and consistency for the church. Electronic giving eliminates frequent check writing and helps members stay on track with pledges even when they are unable to attend services. The church in turn benefits from much-needed donation consistency and a reduction in the volume of check and cash contributions that must be handled and manually processed in the church office.
Q. How does electronic giving work?
A. Contributions are transferred automatically from your checking or savings account to the church’s bank account.
Q. When will my contribution be debited from my account?
A. A debit to your account will occur each month on the date you specify on your authorization form.
Q. What can I use to prove I made a contribution?
A. Your bank statement will show an itemized list of electronic transactions that can be used as proof of your contributions.
Q. Is giving by direct debit risky?
A. It is certainly less risky than writing checks or carrying cash to church. To process electronic donations, the church uses Vanco Services, LLC—an established and highly-regarded company that moves funds directly from church members to the church on the same day without any delay. Vanco processes contributions for more than 10,000 churches and nonprofit organizations.
Q. How much does direct debit giving cost?
A. It costs you nothing and it costs the church very little. It is the lowest cost method of transferring funds.
Q. What if I try electronic giving by direct debit and don’t like it?
A. You can cancel your authorization at any time by notifying the church office at 419-874-4346.
Q. How can I sign up for electronic giving?
A. Complete, sign and return an Online Giving Authorization Form to the church office, or sign up online by clicking on the button at the top of this page.
